...well, you thought we only had six on board, but this
morning we were joined by our special guest star crew member, Patrick the
pigeon. He’s a talented sportsman, coming from racing pigeon
stock, but new to sailing. He therefore made the mistake of flying into the main
sail, before performing a half pike with a triple tuck, followed by a perfect
landing (looking a little stunned) on deck. Ned picked him up and put him in
the shelter of the cuddy while he recovered. As some of Patrick’s biggest
fans, the crew were obviously all keen to get their pictures taken with him
around the boat.
